Terms of Dress Hire

DRESS HIRE SERVICE

Please read all Terms carefully as by using our Dress Hire service you are bound by these Terms and provide a personal guarantee of full liability of the garment whilst under your possession (refer to DAMAGES)

    Maximillia allows customers to hire certain dresses for a 5 day period in accordance with these Terms.

    Once a booking has been made, Maximillia will ensure the item arrives at the customer's address by the first day of this rental period.

    Bookings are not confirmed until you have received a confirmation email from Maximillia stating confirmation and receipt of payment.

    Items are subject to availability and we reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time prior to the specified delivery date if an item is no longer available for use or is damaged by a previous borrower.

    In care of cancellation of your order by Maximillia, the full hire price including postage (if applicable) will be refunded within 7 days, or alternatively another item can be offered at the sole discretion of Maximillia for an equal or greater value of the hired item.

    ORDER CANCELLATION 

    Maximillia does not offer a refund for cancellations once a Dress Hire order has been confirmed via email by Maximillia.

    WHAT IF MY DRESS DOESN'T FIT?

    No problem! 

    Option 1: We’ll help you find another dress

    You may return a product hired from Maximillia in the case that it does not fit in exchange for a replacement product where time permits. If you wish to return an item for a replacement dress you must contact Maximillia immediately by email, on the day you received your item. We will give instructions as to how to proceed.

    Option 2: We’ll issue you a credit note

    We’ll happily issue you a credit note (less shipping and handling) if your dress doesn't fit. 

    Returns must be Express posted back to Maximillia using the Australia Post Express Guaranteed Service on the same day that you received your item to

    To ensure you cannot be charged for late return please obtain a lodgement receipt at time of lodgement at your local post office. This is the only way to prove that the item has been posted.

    RETURNS

    Returning your dress is easy! Simply place your dress in the prepaid return satchel provided with your order and drop it at your nearest Post Office or yellow Express Postal Box the day after your rental period is up. 

    You will receive an email from us once your dress has been safely returned. If you would like to track it back to us simply jot down the tracking number on the return satchel and you can follow its journey.

    We do recommend returning to a Post Office as they do give you a receipt of lodgement which is proof of return after they scan it across the counter. However, the yellow Post boxes are just as effective.

    LATE CHARGE FEES

    You must return your order the day after your 5 day rental period expires.

    The following late fees apply due to fault of customer:

    • 1 DAY: 20% of hire price to be charged
    • 2-6 DAYS: 100% of listed hire price of item
    • BEYOND 7 DAYS: Full RRP of the hired item as noted on the Maximillia website.

    The customer will not be made liable for any late payment fees through error of Australia Post.

    DAMAGES

    Please inspect the item you have hired immediately upon receipt to ensure it is not damaged at all (Check for stains, fabric pulls, torn seams)

    If no damage is reported on the day of receipt of your item you will be responsible for all damage noted upon return to Maximillia after your hire.


    When hiring from Maximillia you are expected to care for our hire items as if they were your own.

    Please avoid direct contact with:

    • Make-up
    • Fake tan
    • Sharp objects and Jewellery.

    Damage:

    • In the instance where an item is damaged, you will be liable for the full repair amount and payment must be made to Maximillia within 7 days of the repair invoice being issued to you via email. 

    Spills & Stains:

    • If the item is stained and requires specialist or additional cleaning this charge will also be liable to the customer and payable within 7 days.

    Lost, Stolen or Damaged Beyond Repair:

    • If your dress gets lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, you will be liable to pay for the retail price of the item as listed on our website.

    GARMENT CLEANING
    All dry cleaning is completed by Maximillia upon return of the item. Do not dry clean any hire items yourself, if you do have an item dry cleaned you are liable for any damage caused through dry cleaning and also late return charges.
